Easily Customizable
CEF 300x is an industrial computer designed and manufactured by Control Express Finland. With up to nine free expansion
slots - up to six full length - it is especially suitable for use in industrial environments where large expansion
potential is essential.
CEF 300x comes supplied with an overpressurizing filtering system. The filtering system pushes clean air into the computer
chassis and prevents dust pile-up from causing overheating problems. Thanks to the maintainer-friendly design of CEF 300x,
the filter is easy to replace without any special tools.
CEF 300x also includes Control Express Finland’s patented hard disk suspension system, CEF Damper 28, which makes the
hard disks resistant to shocks of over 100 G. Thus CEF 300x PC is able to operate perfectly even in the most extreme
industrial environments. The suspension system accommodates two internal hard disks, offering lots of secure storage.
CEF 300x has four indicator lights (LED) on its front panel: The top LED indicates that the monitoring unit status is OK
and that the computer is getting the required voltage of at least 5 V. It should be constantly on. The second LED from the
top is the power indicator. It is constantly on when the CEF 300x power is switched on. The third LED is an overheating
alarm. If the temperature inside the chassis rises too high, this LED blinks. Factory default for temp alarm is +55 °C.
The bottom LED is a hard disk activity indicator. It blinks during hard disk reads and writes.
