CEF SRx is a programmable switch/router offering high data throughput in a military grade rack-installable chassis. Only maintenance tasks required by the customer are cabling and program updates. CEF SRx 2U-high chassis is easily installable to a standard 19" rack using the preinstalled rail and slider kit. The depth needed for the installation is approx. 20 inch (50 cm) including the space needed for external cabling.

Dust and spill proof The aluminium chassis of CEF SRx is both dust and spill proof; even the external cable connections fulfill IP54-class requirements. Monitoring and diagnostics An independent, active monitoring unit enhances the reliability of CEF SRx. The monitoring unit measures temperatures, voltages, vibration, shocks and ripple. When required, it can adjust the switch router's fans and heaters. The monitoring unit can also send an external alarm to the computer maintenance personnel when human intervention is needed. The alarm limits are easy to set and change, either with a serial port emulator such as Hyperterminal or by using a Windows-based CEF CEF WSx/SRx Diagnostics program. Weather and temperature testing CEF SRx has been tested to conform to following weather and mechanical test standards.
