Extremely Compact Industrial Computers
CEF Z-series models are extremely compact industrial computers designed and manufactured by
Control Express Finland. The CEF Z-series computers are based on very highly integrated 5.25" form factor
miniature system boards and low power fanless VIA C3 processors.
The CEF Z-series industrial computers are available in many different sizes. The smallest Z-series models are
diminutive 1 U high models easy to fit in any installation space. The largest Z-series models have 2 U high
19" rack-installable cases with room for two PCI expansion cards.
The CEF Z-series modular design makes the computers easy to modify to suit our customers’ specifications.
For example, the external cabling can be specified with front or back access. This built-in versatility makes
CEF Z-series an easy fit for most installations.
All CEF Z-series computers come supplied with an effective filtering system. The system includes a centrifugal fan
that creates overpressure inside the CEF Z-series chassis. The overpressure prevents dust pile-up in the chassis
from causing disturbances. The filter is easily changed without any special tools.
The patented hard disk suspension system, CEF Damper 28, makes the hard disks resistant to shocks of over 100 G.
The Z-series computers may also be fitted with solid state disks instead of rotary hard disks.
